CURRENT NEWS:

HARVEST SALE, SEPTEMBER 9, 2023

The annual harvest sale is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9-12pm and everyone’s contribution is needed and welcome!   A sign up sheet will be posted in the kiosk this week.  Please also contact Ana by email or phone to let her know your contribution!   Your volunteer time and donations are very much needed.   Do you make jam, sauce, rhubarb syrup or anything else our customers might be interested in buying?   In the past, we’ve sold tomato pesto sandwiches, homemade salsa, garden themed masks, raised beds, hoops, garden cookbooks, cards with garden photography and more.   Your creativity is welcome!   Or a basket full of cherry tomatoes, zucchini or squashes.

We are also in need of canopies, tables, baskets, snacks for volunteers — all listed on the attached volunteer and supply list.

Attached is the sale flyer for you to share with friends and family.   Print out and post in your favorite coffee shop, the library or your mailbox.    I will leave some printed extras in the kiosk drawer for volunteers interested in posting around the neighborhood.

For more information about the sale or questions about how you can help, contact Ana Tolentino at atolenti@aol.com or 303-949-6088.

THANK YOU!!

Many, many thanks to all of those who came out for the work day two weeks ago.  So much was accomplished:

  • Really nasty storage box in front of garden–Cleaned!!
  • Weeds everywhere — Gone!
    • Northwest corner – massive weeding effort
    • Southwest corner – another massive weeding effort, plus mowing
    • Perennial beds – weeded and mulched
    • Southeast fenceline beds – weeded
    • Pathways – weeded
    • Pergola–grapevines removed and weeded

…and lots, lots, more.
Keep that weed removal going.  If you happen to pass by a weed in a pathway or some other place where it shouldn’t be, pull it up.
