INVASIVE BEAUTIES?
You know all about bindweed and goat’s head, but did you know that there are some ‘attractive’ plants in our garden that are also invasive?  Below are photos of them. If you have dill for the harvest sale or cosmos for the flower buckets on the fence, by all means use them. Even amaranth works in flower arrangements, but…. Once these go to seed they propagate in your and your neighbors’ plots, taking nutrients and water from their crops – not to mention making more work for them. Please be responsible and pull them or at least cut them BEFORE they form seeds.

HARVEST SALE, CONTINUEDHarvest Sale Day is a big day for the garden when we have A LOT of visitors wandering around. Please make sure your paths are easily passable, that spigots can be seen, and that tools, piles of weeds, hoses, everything else is inside your plot so we don’t have tripping hazards for people unfamiliar with Rosedale (or our own gardeners, for that matter).

  • If you’re in the front half of the garden, you are our first impression – make it a good one.
  • If you see an area that needs some attention (weed-whacking, trash to take out, straightening items near the shed, etc.) while you are at the garden this weekend, please take five minutes and give it some attention.

Thank you!
