COMPOST = ORGANIC WASTE ONLY
As a reminder, the compost pile is for organic waste only. NO TRASH. If you put trash on the compost pile (image below), please return to the garden, clean it up and pack it out. Rosedale does not offer trash collection.
In addition, LARGE STEMS AND TWIGS need to be chopped into smaller pieces (6″-12″ in length) so they can be handled and composted easier. Please reach out to leaders or other garden members if you’re unsure of what can be thrown on the compost pile.
Also, the blue barrels at the front of the garden are NOT for recycling. Those belong to Parks, who will reclaim them shortly.
Water: Please use the lower spigot – look at knee level and there it is! Please don’t mess with the open/close handles and do not use the upper spigot; it is very slow. Watch for additional updates later this week in the regular newsletter.
